The solver correctly routes through that apparently empty space. 2 - Then another issue with the vias included, the solver’s search strategy was inadequate. It respected the obstacles—it didn’t route through them—but chose routes/reservations in an order that trapped a later DDR bus and failed to find the valid solution. a proposed fix: https://github.com/tscircuit/fanout-solver/pull/192 to the fanout solver issue which will be followed by a fix to core
