For people complaining about placement/proposing placement algos: We must get good at ANALYZING/WARNING on placement issues before we attempt to seriously do automatic placement. Then we can actually measure the algorithms success. There are lots of low hanging fruit for placement analysis, e.g. places where flipping a component 180 degrees is much better because it removes the need for a via tscircuit/circuit-json-to-placement-analysis is currently a decent repo for contributing detectors, but we don't have test fixtures right now that are really good for showing the BEFORE/AFTER for a placement issue Anyway this is to say we will solve placement like all other things- through gradual analysis of specific cases rather than research algorithm proposals
