I think you can use the `name` on the `<trace />` to hide the long port name https://docs.tscircuit.com/elements/trace#trace-net-labels

<@1079361271687807026> <@757706909351411845> Shouldn't we default to `name` being used when the port alias grows to certain number of connections. This shouldn't be showed ever, my eyes hurt seeing this!

Yea, I was also concerned about this, but seve suggested to always show it

Sorry i dont understand, what is the issue?
Seve
Shouldnt they just use name?

<@1050759023194030111> what would you prefer in this case- should we display “…”? My concern is that really every trace should have a name- but i would be down to just do “…” for long names until the user adds one- or “NAME?”
Seve
Maybe NAME? is a good idea
Seve
Or perhaps even NAME?1, NAME?2 etc
Seve
Alternatively- we could try to just take the best pin label rather than a shortening (the best pin label is typically the label from the chip with the most pins and named)

I would prefer "..." with tooltips. If user hovers mouse above the port, all the names should be visible.

Thanks <@809856037376491570> . This approach worked. Now the traces are visually much better.
